REGOLAMENTO
RULES AND REGULATIONS (English translation at the end)
1. ORGANIZZATORI
Monsters – Taranto Horror Film Festival è organizzato da “Brigadoon – Altre storie del Cinema”, Associazione di Cultura Cinematografica di Taranto aderente al Centro Studi Cinematografici (Roma).
2. OBIETTIVI
Monsters – Taranto Horror Film Festival si propone di offrire uno spazio di approfondimento e di confronto sul cinema horror internazionale e su tutti gli aspetti storici, sociali e culturali a esso legati.
3. DATA E DURATA
La V edizione di Monsters – Taranto Horror Film Festival si svolgerà dal 26 al 31 ottobre 2022, per la durata di sei giorni.
4. SEZIONI DEL FESTIVAL
Il Festival si articola in più sezioni tematiche, in un Concorso Lungometraggi e in un Concorso Cortometraggi. Partecipano ai due Concorsi i film di tutte le sezioni che siano prodotti nel periodo indicato nell’Articolo 5 del presente Regolamento.
5. CONCORSI E PREMI
5.1 La selezione dei film avviene a cura e giudizio insindacabile della Direzione del Festival ed è orientata prevalentemente al Cinema di genere horror e a tutte le sue declinazioni.
5.2 Sono ammessi al Concorso Lungometraggi tutti i film di durata superiore ai 60′, terminati dopo l’1 settembre 2021. La data della prima proiezione pubblica è determinante. In casi eccezionali, la Direzione del Festival si riserva il diritto di ammettere al Concorso anche film terminati prima dell’1 settembre 2021, ma comunque non prima dell’1 gennaio 2021. La Direzione del Festival nominerà una Giuria composta da almeno tre persone altamente qualificate, incaricata di assegnare i seguenti premi:
– Premio per il Miglior Film
– Sono ammesse un massimo di due Menzioni Speciali, assegnate per motivi tecnici o artistici.
5.3 Sono ammessi al Concorso Cortometraggi tutti i film di durata inferiore ai 20′, terminati dopo l’1 settembre 2021. La data della prima proiezione pubblica è determinante. La Direzione del Festival nominerà una Giuria composta da almeno tre persone, incaricata di assegnare i seguenti premi:
– Premio per il Miglior Cortometraggio
– Sono ammesse un massimo di due Menzioni Speciali, assegnate per motivi tecnici o artistici.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. ORGANIZERS
Monsters – Taranto Horror Film Festival is organized by “Brigadoon – Other Cinema Stories,” a no-profit Association of Cinema Culture in Taranto (Italy), that is a member of Centro Studi Cinematografici (Rome).
2. OBJECTIVES
Monsters – Taranto Horror Film Festival’s purpose is to to offer a space for in-depth analysis and discussion on international horror cinema and all the historical, social and cultural aspects related to it.
3. DATES
The 5th edition of Monsters – Taranto Horror Film Festival will be held from 26th to 31sr October 2022, for a total of six days.
4. FESTIVAL SECTIONS
The Festival is divided into several thematic sections, a Feature Film Competition and a Short Film Competition. Films in all sections that are produced during the period indicated in Article 5 of these Regulations participate in the two competitions.
5. COMPETITIONS AND AWARDS
5.1 The selection of the films, which is final and binding, is conducted by the Festival Management and is mainly oriented towards Cinema of the horror genre and all its declinations.
5.2 Entry to the Feature Film Competition is open to feature-length films longer than 60′, which were completed after September 1st, 2021. The date of the film’s first public screening is determinant. In exceptional cases, the Festival Management reserves the right to admit to the Competition even films finished before September 1 2021, but not earlier than January 1 2021.
The Festival Management will appoint a Jury of at least three highly qualified persons to award the following prizes:
– Best Film Award
– A maximum of two Special Mentions are allowed, awarded for technical or artistic reasons.
5.3 Entry to the Short Film Competition is open to films under 20′ in length, which were completed after September 1st, 2021. The date of the film’s first public screening is determinant. In exceptional cases, the Festival Management reserves the right to admit to the Competition even films finished before September 1 2021, but not earlier than January 1 2021.
The Festival Management will appoint a Jury of at least three highly qualified persons to award the following prizes:
– Best Short Film Award
– A maximum of two Special Mentions are allowed, awarded for technical or artistic reasons.
